I used to have a cat and his name was Tinker. I am pretty sure he was an American short hair. I got him from my aunt when I was rather young I can only remember a small part of the drive over to my aunts to pick him up. We had him for 14 years until he died partly due to being alone as he was used to having the other 2 cats who died before him. When I was 10 or 11 he started to pee everywhere in the house usually behind the couch. We had to take him to the vet and found out he a urinary track infection and had to stay at the vets for 2 weeks. When he came back for the first few weeks he wasn't really himself but quickly became his old self. He has a few things wrong with him including a cyst that eventually burst and I think that's what ended his life. It was not an easy time in my life but after a few weeks things went back to normal. Bringing your cat to the vet can be an expensive thing but in the end if you love your cat you should as it can save their life.
